Not to be missed, is his site’s Blog, where you will find an amazing trove of Mac security information, resources and a detailed overview of the ‘Mac malware’ culture we now find ourselves confronted with.Combat preparation complete. ![]() But then I thought, "hey, sharing is caring, I should make my tools publicly available, free of charge." This is the idea that drives the website.” Initially, this was for somewhat 'selfish' reasons I simply wanted to write OS X security tools to secure my Mac. And, using attacks such as dylib hijacking attackers can easily bypass all current OS X security products.Īs an avid Mac user, this worried me, so I decided to do something about it. Malware for OS X is trivial to write and unfortunately has become ever more pervasive. However the more I learned about this topic, the more insecure I felt. “OS X malware and security has been a personal passion for many years. Very impressive array of programs and extremely detailed infos on all of his apps. This developer points out what he sees as both strengths AND weaknesses with his apps –– and his desire to improve them all as he moves forward. Ervins, Thanks for your review and for alerting us to the seemingly useful, and possibly great security apps at the developers site‼️ After I test them (there are 10 programs), I will review them here. BlockBlock is a lightweight plugin that gives you the ability to disable the crafting and usage of certain items. I do (personally) think it unfair they are charging an additional $2 per month over the 1 year option only to then charge users AGAIN for the storage itself (in which case what is the additional $2 charge for if the user is expected to pay for storage themselves?) It must be stressed about the limitations they have on external drives though so keep this in mind before making a decision if might be an issue!Īs can be seen in the table above both services are basically priced at the same amount for a single device with unlimited storage and unlimited file version history, Backblaze does come out slightly behind Crashplan, however, because of their additional cloud storage fees for any file versions kept which are over 1 year old (although their B2 cloud storage is very low).įor a long time Backblaze stuck to their 30 day max version history so it is good to see users now have access to much longer versioning periods if they require them. photographer, freelancer etc.) then Crashplan is a must!Ī little earlier on I mentioned about the set-up of Backblaze being slightly more automatic than Crashplan, add in to this the mobile apps and the ability to have large restores sent directly on an external HDD and it is a small win for Backblaze in the usability section. Crashplan does not have such strict limits on external drives meaning if you make use of external drives regularly (e.g. Basically, whilst Backblaze will backup any external hard drives attached to a machine if the drive is removed for more than 30 days it will be considered permanently removed and, in short, no longer backed up. ![]() ![]() One Key area in which Crashplan is at a key advantage is how they treat external hard drives. Crashplan did have an app for recovering files but this was discontinued along with the removal of the “Home” account a couple of years ago. ![]() This service requires a small deposit be paid which will be refunded upon timely return of the drive.īackblaze also have the benefit of offering their users mobile apps for iOS and Android which allow for recovering and accessing of any backed up files whilst on the go. Having said about Backblaze and the web console one feature which really makes them stand out over Crashplan is that they will ship large amounts of recovered data on an external drive should you need to do a large restore quickly. One area with does differentiate the two slightly is when it comes to recovering data, both allow for web based data recovery to take place and Crashplan will even go a step further allowing recovery of files from within the app itself (something Backblaze strangely does not allow, you must use the web console). I don’t think either of these approaches is inherently “better” than the other, but because of its simplicity Backblaze might be a slightly better option for those unfamiliar with how backup works on a technical level.Īs can be seen in the table above both tools basically have the same set of key usability features and there is little to separate them on here. Whilst still very easy to use Crashplan take the opposite approach whereby during setup you check which of the important areas of your PC should be included in the backup. ![]() Again, I feel Backblaze have gone sightly further in this regard with their download been pre-configured with the users account details beforehand, this means once the software is installed it be logged in automatically and begin backing up all important files straight away.įollowing on from the above statement it also needs to be pointed out that Backblaze backs up all important files automatically (you need to specify if something doesn’t need backing up). Usability is key when it comes to a backup application, not only must a good service be easy to configure but also easy for users to understand what is happening and feel comfortable that their data is been secured in the correct way.īoth Backblaze and Crashplan have a simple and straightforward sign-up process allowing users to create an account, download the software and have it installed within minutes. Greet home shoppers with open-house flyers so they have something to remember you and your listing by after a long day of touring homes. Distribute real estate flyers at open houses Share real estate flyers on social mediaįor peak exposure, create a JPG or PDF of your listing flyer and upload it to the social media accounts you’re most active on, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Today’s real estate agent has several ways to distribute listing flyers, depending on their business plan and marketing strategy. Homeowners think about selling for an average of six months before listing their homes for sale. Be visible as the go-to neighborhood professional to attract home sellers who are shopping for a local real estate agent. Capture early and mid-stage home shoppers who are just beginning their hunt but may not be ready to buy. ![]() Attract more eyes to your current listings. There are three primary business strategies for using real estate flyers: Real estate agents aren’t required to use listing flyers to market their properties successfully, but leading agents use flyers to remain top of mind with shoppers and even local home sellers. No matter which template you use, flyers help real estate agents win business. For example, a property with a recently reduced listing price would benefit from a listing flyer that highlights the markdown more prominently than specific home details. Each real estate flyer template calls attention to different aspects of a listing to support your marketing strategy. Real estate flyers are an essential part of promoting properties, both in-person and digitally.

Creative director James Worrall described the skill deck as, "A collection of slots that represent all kinds of different abilities and you swap the cards in and out on the fly, however you want, whenever you want. When it comes to combat, IGN said that the game “encourages constant movement, with dodges, kicks, and jumps all integral parts” and that while there is a stamina system, it’s not punishingly restrictive, allowing you to “experiment with a variety of different techniques”.ĭuring an interview with GameInformer (opens in new tab), it was revealed that Dead Island 2's skill tree will be based on a card deck-building system. We caught a glimpse of that ourselves in the trailer. In a preview of the game, IGN touched on the game's ‘FLESH’ system, or 'Fully Locational Evisceration System for Humanoids', which “procedurally shreds zombies with each strike” and makes the game a truly gory experience. We've written those characters to reflect broad playstyles."Īs for the zombies, there’ll be variety there, too, with Dambuster confirming there'll be “dozens of distinct zombie types, each with their own mutations, attacks and hundreds of LA-themed variants”. Some characters are quite low key, subtle. You might get another character who's a little bit more of a cynical individual. As for platforms, Dead Island 2 will be coming to new- and old-gen consoles, with PS5, Xbox Series XS, PS4, Xbox One, and PC all confirmed. "So you might get one character who's particularly driven or energised or upbeat. ![]() "Each player character has their own voice and their own dialogue," he said. On one hand, Dambuster Studios has delivered a charming. In an interview with PCGamer, creative director James Worrall revealed that while the game doesn’t have a branching narrative, the six player characters offer different perspectives. Like an Orange County socialite, Dead Island 2’s great looks and seemingly ideal first impression belies a striking lack of imagination. In a recent showcase, a few minutes of new gameplay footage was shown off. Resulting object sets (or pixel probability images if enabled) will be available in subsequent modules within the pipeline. Once configured, RunCellpose should execute just like any other CellProfiler module. This allows Cellpose to operate on data from different magnifications without needing specific training. Internally, the image will be rescaled to match the object diameter which the loaded model was trained to detect. Most importantly, RunCellpose needs to know the expected diameter of the objects that you’re trying to detect. Input images are then chosen, with the option to supply a nuclear stain being available when detecting cells. The module is configured by selecting whether to detect cells, nuclei or a custom model supplied by the user. Additional help and information is available by clicking on the ‘?’ buttons next to each setting. The plugin behaves as a standard CellProfiler module with a series of settings. This may mean that CellProfiler takes some time to start up after installing the plugin for the first time. On first run Cellpose will automatically download its built-in models from the internet. The plugin module includes a testing function to check if a GPU is configured correctly. Running on a GPU is substantially faster than on a CPU, so it’s well worth trying this if your system supports it. To do so you’ll need to follow the instructions here to configure a PyTorch version for your particular machine. If you have compatible hardware, you may also want to try running Cellpose on a graphics card (GPU). The plugin should load in and be available next time you start CellProfiler. Once that’s done, drop the RunCellpose plugin script into the ‘Plugins’ folder specified in your CellProfiler preferences. On the resulting Python environment you’ll need to run pip install cellpose to correctly configure cellpose and the required dependencies. 3D object detection can be challenging with CellProfiler’s core modules, so using Cellpose can provide good results in a fraction of the processing time.īecause Cellpose requires the PyTorch deep learning library, you’ll need to be running CellProfiler from the source code ( Windows, macOS) instead of a pre-packaged build. This module can also be used with 3D datasets, though we recommend running on a GPU (see below) if doing so. Cellpose excels in detecting ‘typical’ cells and nuclei which can be found in many different experiments, without the need for fine-tuning of detection parameters. Functionally the RunCellpose plugin serves as an alternative to the native IdentifyPrimaryObjects and IdentifySecondaryObjects modules. You can use the inbuilt models or even provide one you’ve trained yourself. ![]() The RunCellpose plugin provides a wrapper around the Cellpose package to allow you to call this software directly within a CellProfiler pipeline. ![]() Cellpose has its own user interface for training and running networks, which allows models to be customised for specific datasets. This software can provide an accessible means of detecting objects without prior knowledge of image processing strategies. This package is supplied with several pre-trained models geared towards detection of nuclei or whole cells. Today we’re releasing the RunCellpose plugin for CellProfiler 4! This plugin is designed to allow you to use the popular Cellpose segmentation algorithm to generate object sets within a CellProfiler pipeline.Ĭellpose uses a neural network followed by post-processing steps to detect and segment objects in an image. |
